Niña de 2 años le enseña igualdad a una cajera racista

Esta historia nos da una hermosa lección, la pequeña que nos ha derretido con su gran corazón y su madre es la encargada de contarnos esta historia desde sus redes sociales.

Brandi nos cuenta que ella y su pareja le quisieron dar un premio en recompensa a su gran logro, pues aprendió a ir al baño. Y la llevaron a Target a que ella eligiera su premio y después de 20 minutos ya tenia con ella a una pequeña doctora de piel negra. 

Al llegar a la caja, la mujer que los atendía le pregunto a Sophia si era para alguien mas y ella dijo que no. A lo que la  cajera pregunto "¿Estás segura que esta es la muñeca que quieres, pequeña? y ella respondió "Sí, por favor". A lo que la mujer insistió "Pero no se parece a ti. Tenemos muchas muñecas que se parecen mucho más a ti".

Brandi se sintió molesta a los cuestionamientos de la cajera y o muy orgullosa de su hija con una adorable respuesta; "Sí. Es una doctora como yo. Y yo soy guapa y ella también. ¿No ves su pelo bonito? ¿Y su estetoscopio?".

Nick and I told Sophia that after 1 whole month of going poop on the potty, she could pick out a special prize at Target. She, of course, picked a new doll. The obsession is real. While we were checking out, the cashier asked Sophia if she was going to a birthday party. We both gave her a blank stare. She then pointed to the doll and asked Sophia if she picked her out for a friend. Sophia continued to stare blankly and I let the cashier know that she was a prize for Sophia being fully potty trained. The woman gave me a puzzled look and turned to Sophia and asked, "Are you sure this is the doll you want, honey?" Sophia finally found her voice and said, "Yes, please!" The cashier replied, "But she doesn't look like you. We have lots of other dolls that look more like you." I immediately became angry, but before I could say anything, Sophia responded with, "Yes, she does. She's a doctor like I'm a doctor. And I'm a pretty girl and she's a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And see her stethoscope?" Thankfully the cashier decided to drop the issue and just answer, "Oh, that's nice." This experience just confirmed my belief that we aren't born with the idea that color matters. Y la madre compartió su sentir después de esta pequeña pero gran lección: "Esto me acaba de confirmar que no nacemos con prejuicios sobre el color de piel. La piel tiene diferentes colores como el pelo o los ojos y cada uno es hermoso".
